Eleanor Freeman Adams was the daughter of Ethel and Melville Freeman. She inherited their home at 3 Sumac Lane in Cape Porpoise, ME. She married Edward G. Adams and had two daughters, Beverly and Cynthia. She was a career woman and worked as an editor in the Womans Dept., of the New York Herald Tribune and then Scholastic Magazine in NYC. She loved Maine and spent many summers here.
